ANGEL B. WILSON

SCHOLARSHIP

Angel Bennette Wilson was born on August 30, 1972, in Miami, FL. She had a deep passion for fashion, hairstyling, and family. While attending Miami Carol City Senior High School, she was actively involved in cosmetology and participated in softball, volleyball, and track.
On December 1, 1998, at the age of 26, Angel tragically lost her life when she was shot and killed by a local gang in Miami, FL. In her honor, the Angel B. Wilson Foundation was established to support students pursuing post-secondary education.
For the 2024-2025 school year, the Foundation will award a $1,000 scholarship to a senior at Miami Carol City Senior High School.
Requirements:
To be eligible for the Angel B. Wilson Foundation Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Be a graduating senior at Miami Carol City Senior High School

Have a minimum GPA of 3.0 (unweighted)

Submit the following documents:

Unofficial transcript

College acceptance letter (must plan to attend a four-year institution)

Recent photograph (graduation headshot preferred)

500-word (or less) essay describing what it means to be a Miami Carol City Chief and how you will use your platform and resources to uplift the Carol City community
